Robot Tour project

I worked in my engineering class to code software in C++ for a science olympiad robot that is built from scratch. The hardware in use consists of boost converters, an arduino board, a motor shield, imu & gyroscope, buttons, and PID controls together to navigate a grid and score points. I worked on this for 6 months for about 6.5 hours per week. Completed 4 different variations developing a loop PID tuning system to optimize the wheel control.

Bridge Breaker

I worked on the electronics that utilized a liner actuator and a load cell to crushed and measure the force of balsa constructed bridges. C++ code controlled several buttons that started, stopped, reset the actuator delivering begin setup and congratulations messages to participants. I spent four months working with my engineering class for about 6 hours per week.
